Dr Sam Hall has worked with the same anaesthetists for 15 years, and together they have developed a methodology to ensure optimal pain control throughout your procedure. Almost all patients describe no discomfort at all. Colonoscopy in public hospitals is often performed without an anaesthetist.
Generally it is a safe procedure. Different proceduralists have different rates of complications. Dr Sam Hall has an outstanding safety record compared to the world standard.
You will feel back to normal very quickly after endoscopy or colonoscopy. You will be advised to go home and rest after the procedure however you are able to resume normal activities including driving the day after.
